StarVista Music announces the digital reissue of singer and songwriter Kenny Nolan’s timeless album, “A Song Between Us,” available on all major digital streaming platforms starting today. Originally released in 1978, the album was the follow-up to Nolan’s breakthrough debut album and includes “But Love Me,” which went on to become a Top 30 country music hit for Janie Fricke and was later recorded by B.J. Thomas. Listen to “A Song Between Us” HERE.
“A Song Between Us” takes fans on a nostalgic journey while new listeners discover it for the first time. “I was listening to artists like Eric Carmen and had just written ‘Lonely Together’ with Barry Manilow when I started working on ‘A Song Between Us’ and I think the album really reflects all of those influences. That whole era of music really shines through on these songs,” shares Nolan. “I’m happy that people are able to stream it now, after all these years, and remember how good music was in the 70s and 80s.”
Best known for his era-defining hits “I Like Dreamin'” and “Love’s Grown Deep,” Nolan is also an award-winning songwriter whose work has resonated across generations and musical genres. His repertoire includes unforgettable hits such as “Masterpiece” by Atlantic Starr, “Shoot ‘em Up Movies” by The Deele and “Penny for Your Thoughts” by Tavares, to name just a few. One of Nolan’s most iconic compositions, “Lady Marmalade,” was recorded multiple times – by Labelle, Christina Aguilera/Lil’ Kim/Mya/P!nk and All Saints – each achieving number one success.
