Mark Wihlidal (of Mark Wihlidal and the Doctors of Music) has experienced a great amount of attention on his musical career in the last year or so, and wanted to give something back and with his close connection to Sandy Graham as an industry icon and her position as Chair of the Drive Foundation of Canada, mental health and wellness was something Mark could totally embrace.
“I am so excited for myself and the guys from Mark and the Doctors of Music to be putting on a show in Oshawa for CMHA Durham and the Drive Foundation of Canada combining Music and Mental Health awareness in this great event. I first got the idea from Sandy Graham as her involvement with the Drive Foundation got me thinking of what I could do to help out around my home town”, says Mark. “I attended a Drive Foundation event and I realized that the Oshawa area could use an event of this type. It’s been at least a year that have been slowly putting together an event that involves music and more importantly raising some funds and awareness for mental health and wellness here in the Durham region. We have had experience in raising funds before so we are excited to do the same at the event. Giving is always better.”
So everyone come out to a great event.
